Since its founding in 1982, the Henry Luce Basis’s American Art Program has supported wide-ranging assortment initiatives and exhibitions at artwork museums in all 50 states. In commemoration of this system’s fortieth anniversary, the muse organized a yearlong collection of digital conversations moderated by discipline leaders and Luce grantees, previous and current.

Intentionally forward-facing moderately than retrospective, the Henry Luce Foundation Conversations on American Art and Museums discover what the most effective futures of American artwork and museums may appear like. Members delve into the position of the visible arts in an open and equitable society, and the capability of artwork museums to problem accepted histories, elevate under-represented voices, and host the essential conversations through which we have to interact.
