Hito Steyerl to Deliver 2023 Wolgin Lecture at Tyler School of Art and Architecture



The Tyler College of Artwork and Structure at Temple College is happy to welcome German filmmaker Hito Steyerl as its 2023 Wolgin Visiting Artist and Lecturer. The transferring picture artist and cultural critic will ship a public handle on October 11 from 6–7:30pm (EDT) at Rock Hall Auditorium (Rock Corridor, 1715 N. Broad Road) in Philadelphia and through livestream.

A provocative thinker whose work primarily focuses on media, expertise, and the worldwide circulation of photographs, Steyerl was listed as probably the most influential individual within the up to date artwork world in 2017 by ArtReview.

Steyerl teaches new media artwork at Berlin College of the Arts.

The Wolgin Lecture is introduced by Temple Contemporary, Tyler’s middle for exhibitions and public programming. It brings influential artists and thinkers to campus to work with Tyler college students and current a public lecture every year.
