RAIR’s Artist Residency Program Is at a Recycling Center

RAIR is a non-profit arts group uniquely located inside a development and demolition recycling middle in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. RAIR’s residency program gives artists on-site entry to recovered supplies in addition to a studio area to supply work.

The workspace contains a big mission area, wooden store gear, metalworking services, entry to the waste stream for supplies, and a cloth storage space. Artists in residence obtain attentive help from RAIR’s employees, who act as liaisons between the artist and the recycling facility. Applications are due by October 22 at 11:59pm (EDT). The charge to use is $25. Candidates can be notified in early 2024.

RAIR affords 2024 artists-in-residence a stipend of $1,000. Candidates from outdoors Philadelphia are eligible for housing and journey reimbursement.
