RAIR is a non-profit arts group uniquely located inside a development and demolition recycling middle in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. RAIR’s residency program gives artists on-site entry to recovered supplies in addition to a studio area to supply work.
The workspace contains a big mission area, wooden store gear, metalworking services, entry to the waste stream for supplies, and a cloth storage space. Artists in residence obtain attentive help from RAIR’s employees, who act as liaisons between the artist and the recycling facility. Along with offering artists on-site entry to recovered supplies, development gear, and a totally geared up studio area, RAIR’s Residency Program affords artists the chance to make use of all the three-and-a-half-acre facility as an expansive mission area for the event and presentation of bold experimental work.
Applications are due by October 22 at 11:59pm (EDT). The charge to use is $25. Candidates can be notified in early 2024.
RAIR affords 2024 artists-in-residence a stipend of $1,000. Candidates from outdoors Philadelphia are eligible for housing and journey reimbursement.
